ACDLI Program

The ARES CDL Institute offers a comprehensive 180-hour program that seamlessly integrates classroom instruction with practical driving training. This meticulously designed four-week schedule includes introductory sessions, specialized courses in restrictive driving, on-road training, and final preparations, culminating in a comprehensive final exam. Our students experience a balanced approach, honing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on driving skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for a successful career in commercial truck driving.

Program Outline

WEEK 1

INTRODUCTION TO DRIVING

Students will begin learning the basics of commercial truck driving in an classroom group setting. Students must complete chapters 1-16 of learning as required by the FMCSA.

EXAMS:

  • Theory Quiz (Pass: 80%)
  • Driving Assessment (Pass: 80%)

WEEK 2

RESTRICTIVE COURSE DRIVING

Students will complete chapters 17-24 of classroom teaching and application practice. Qualified students will be eligible to begin on-road driving in a closed course environment

EXAMS:

  • Theory Exam (Pass: 80%)
  • Driving Assessment (Pass: 80%)

WEEK 3

ON-ROAD TRAINING

Students will complete chapters 25-27 of classroom teaching and application practice. and closed course training, students will be eligible to begin on-road driving training

EXAM:  Course Quiz (Pass: 80%)

WEEK 4

FINANCIAL LITERACY

In addition to equipping you with the practical skills needed to operate commercial vehicles, our CDL training program includes a robust Financial Literacy Module designed to ensure you’re prepared for financial success on the road and beyond. We believe that understanding how to manage your income is just as important as mastering the technical aspects of driving.

EXAM:  Final Exam (Pass: 80%)

WEEK 5

LIFE SKILLS

The section is centered around practical, multi-faceted lessons that help students turn short-term ambitions into long-term career success. These lessons cover essential life and career topics, empowering students to adopt a positive, adaptive approach to both personal and professional achievements.

EXAM:  Course Quiz (Pass: 80%)

WEEK 6

FINAL PREPARATIONS

Students will complete chapters 28-32 of classroom teaching and their 100 hours of on-road training to be eligible for the final exam. Additionally, they will spend the final week learning about the trucking industry, business skills, and career options.

EXAM:  Final Exam (Pass: 80%)
